Movement, Hunting & Fasting: The Eberswalde Years

Studying Ecosystems & Sustainable Living

From 2022 to 2024, a new chapter of learning and self-sufficiency unfolded in Eberswalde, where studies in International Ecosystem Forest Management deepened the understanding of environmental sustainability, biodiversity, and the intricate balance between human interaction and natural ecosystems. This academic journey reinforced the value of regenerative practices, not only for land management but also for personal health and movement.

The Shift Towards Wild Nutrition & Hunting

A key transformation during this period was obtaining a hunting license, which led to a significant shift in nutritional philosophy. Hunting provided direct access to wild meats, organ meats, and raw dairy, forming a diet rooted in ancestral eating habits. This reconnection with food sourcing emphasized:

  • Ethical and sustainable consumption.
  • Nutrient-dense, bioavailable nutrition.
  • A deeper respect for the natural cycle of life.

By sourcing food directly from nature, the connection between physical performance, resilience, and sustenance became even more apparent.

The Fusion of Movement Training & Yoga

Alongside academic studies and hunting, movement training remained central. This period was defined by a hybrid approach, combining:

  • Gymnastics & Ring Strength Training – Developing upper body control, mobility, and resilience.
  • Ashtanga Yoga – Deepening the traditional Mysore-style practice, enhancing breath awareness, flexibility, and strength.
  • Breathwork – Integrating various techniques to optimize endurance, recovery, and mental focus.

A significant milestone was achieved in 2023 with the completion of a Mysore Intensive, further solidifying Ashtanga Yoga as a core practice. This reinforced the understanding that movement is not just about strength and flexibility but also about internal discipline, breath synchronization, and mindfulness.

Exploring Berlin’s Movement Culture

Frequent trips to Berlin provided opportunities to engage with the city’s high-level movement culture, attending workshops and embodiment events. This immersion introduced:

  • Advanced movement methodologies that emphasized play, coordination, and adaptability.
  • Cross-disciplinary training, blending martial arts, acrobatics, and soft tissue conditioning.
  • A deeper appreciation for movement beyond fitness, seeing it as a form of self-expression and holistic well-being.

Conclusion: A Holistic Approach to Strength & Sustainability

By 2024, the integration of sustainable living, ancestral nutrition, and refined movement training had reshaped not only physical capabilities but also philosophical perspectives on health and longevity. This period reinforced the belief that true mastery is a balance between physical strength, self-sufficiency, and deep connection to nature.
